STATEMENT OF INTENT
This representation of ʺGoing Wildʺ shows two opposite design philosophies. We present ʺAntithesisʺ! We go wild, but initially we present what has become the prevailing landscape design trend in Urban Culture> clean, contemporary, sensible, careful, behaved, calm, civilized, manageable, orderly, tidy, cultured, refined, sophisticated. We then present ʺGoing Wildʺ > agitate, encourage, incite, irritate, lose, release, surrender, allow, free, let go, liberate, mend, rebellious, exciting, interesting, unmanageable, untamable, and strong.
We present a garden of opposite’s ʺAntithesisʺ. This is a tongue-in-cheek commentary on two opposing forces of design aesthetic. This landscape shows the prevailing dichotomy between two human traits, one that seeks to control our environment and the other that embraces the laws of nature. You are initially presented with ʺControlʺ a space that is defined by its contemporary design aesthetic. We then present ʺChangeʺ- a space to feel the burden of control slip away, a garden that embraces the laws of nature.
